Like most great ideas, the concept for MutuaLoan.com really
came about due to a void in the financial service marketplace.
This void was caused by the migration of the average American
consumer's savings from their passbook savings accounts into
equities and CD's over the last two decades. The majority
of this asset base migrated from a completely liquid form
into a much less liquid form of mutual fund ownership.

private banking relationships, to borrow on their mutual funds
and bonds. But with the growth of mutual fund ownership by
the average investor a need for similar services became evident
in the late 90's.
